Dr. Vyankatesh Metan
Dr. Vyankatesh Metan is a renowned Orthopedic surgeon and renowned photographer from India.
He has completed Diploma in photography from renowned AAFT Institute Noida. He is doing his Masters in Fine Art Photography from renowned Indian Institute of Photography, Noida.
Exhibitions
His solo wildlife and nature photography exhibition “Connect with the Nature” was displayed at the prestigious “Jehangir Art Gallery” in Mumbai in October 2018 & 2022 as well as thrice at prestigious “Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath Art Gallery”, Bangalore in 2018, 2021 & 2022. These all exhibitions were a huge success and appreciated by visitors and media.
He has got membership of National Geography.
Bird Watching & Wildlife
He is an excellent and renowned birder from India. He started taking keen interest in bird watching in 1996. In the last 24 years he has done extensive study on the birds. He has traveled widely to many National Parks and Forests in and outside India.
His bird’s photographs are published famous forest officers and an eminent author Mr. Maruti Chitampalli’s new book on the birds “Pakshikosh”.
He is recipient of the prestigious “Vasundhara Mitra” award in 2014.

Photography Gear
He has a set of latest camera/lenses and all the gazettes for birding and photography. He has Canon R 5 , 1DX with 600 mm prime lens, Canon 5 D Mark IV with 400 mm and 24-105 mm lenses and other all modern accessories.

He travels widely in India to give speeches, seminars and presentations on birding, photography and nature.
Personal Interest
Travelling is his passion. Till to date he has traveled very widely in India and to 42 countries. He is awarded membership of National Geographic Society.

He is a master in time management, planning & executing events flawlessly. He is a fitness freak and his energy & enthusiasm are seen to be believed.
